SolarZap™ Solar Bug Zapper

I really really wanted to give this product a chance and use it for my upcoming camping but sadly it doesn't work. Saw the ad, videos and read/watched reviews and thought I'd bite the bullet and buy one despite the cost but not worth it. I got bitten twice with it on and had to fight the other mosquitoes that was on me. It doesn't seem to give off heat like one review said. Just light. It does kill moths so there's that but I bought it specifically for the mosquitoes as I would like to avoid bathing myself in deets and chemicals. Had high hopes but was too good to be true.

This works great had a party. And no one complained about mosquitoes and if you were close enough you can hear it zapping them. Highly recommend easy set up and covers a big area

I can't begin to express how much I love this thing without being dramatic. It is so satisfying to sit outside at night, sip a cocktail with my bride and listen to bugs die. It's just a quaint little zap sound, not like the obnoxious bug zappers when us Gen X folks were kids. Mine sees the sun for about 4 hours a day and that gets it working almost all the way through the night until sunrise. We just went camping, unpacked the car, and my wife says damn it, you should have brought the zapper!!! Point taken.

Perfect, I installed it around 1:30 PM, it had the whole afternoon to charge, and at 5:30 AM it was still on! So the solar panel works very well! However, fast delivery time!

Amazing, this image is only after 3 days. I will be buying another one. Hopefully it lasts a long time. Took less than five minutes to set up.

These work fairly well when new. I even bought two more of them this year. The problem is when i turned on the new one, i didn’t realize how weak the old one was. I bought the first one in May 2025 and it was used last summer and put away this winter with a full charge. It has had a couple weeks of nice sunny warm days to charge. When i put it next to the new one i got this week, there is a very obvious difference. The light on the old one (left) is very dim compared to the new ones (right). These need to have replaceable batteries.

I'll use it well this summer without mosquitoes.

Build quality feels very good. Mounting on a fence is a bit of a struggle

About the device:
This is great solution for flys, mosquitos using solar energy during the day. 2 modes - always on mode & night mode. Also include cable for direct electricy.
! Solar panel cant be adjust.

Overall, works great and do his job, hears lots of electric zaps. It's good extra.

Issue (not sure):
I haven't been able to figure out yet if the night mode turns off after a few hours for no reason or if the battery is low - still testing that.


Additionally, when installing the product, i noticed that the solar panel cable could not be plugged in. I opened the inside of the product and found loose screws, which cause the problem.

After install it i measure and notice that its not fit to the model i ordered follow to the product photos. Ordered 20w model and i received the 15w, i ask for partial refund - but the aliexpress seller service, told me its possible only for full refund but should return the item.i decide to keep this and not continue with the dispute.
